Timothy PaiSpeaker & SG Coordinator
My name is Tim. I started coming to BCTC when I was around 3 years old, and the Lord saved me when I was 6 years old. When I was in 6th grade, my parents began to attend the afternoon service and began going to S'mile (a Chinese-speaking fellowship at BCTC) as a result. When I was in Sunday school, I was exposed to many Bible "stories" -- stories of how David killed Goliath with just a sling and a stone, of how strong Samson was, of how wicked King Ahab was, and of how stubborn Jonah was. In S'mile, however, I learned to read the Bible, to really feast on the Word of God, for myself. I began to realize that the Word of God was richer and deeper and more captivating than I could ever have imagined, and that it was all about Jesus Christ. S'mile became my spiritual home, a place where I had big brothers and big sisters, a place where I could encounter the love of God in fellowship and in prayer, and a place where I could go to welcome others and to be welcomed myself.
After I graduated college, the Lord began to open doors for me to serve in the English Ministry at BCTC. I started to serve in the music ministry. I began to teach Sunday school. And God slowly began to open my eyes to the spiritual hunger of the youth in our English Ministry. I believe that God has equipped me with His Spirit and His truth in order to make disciples right here in our Blastoff youth group, and so I am currently serving as small group coordinator. I also have the privilege of speaking on Fridays along with John Sideco, and I am excited to continue sharing the living Word of God with Blastoff. |
